Well, I did it! Not quite sure how. If you’re not sure what the hell I’m talking about, free yourself to read my August 21 post “The Race to Drive Up My Klout.” That post detailed my budding new experience with the social media tool named Klout. A particular literary agent requires a score of 60 or above. This is the magic number it takes for publishing books. On my first attempt I measured a 10. Just three days later, I measured a 51. I mused that though Klout is intended to measure one’s level of social media influence, I wasn’t so sure I had actually grown 410% more influential in just three days. (My post recorded 510% due to bad math. Never mind that.) Yet I found the experience fun like a video game. So I wanted to keep playing. I did keep playing. Yada, yada, yada… Read the post.
I’m not sure I really even care. But I suppose this is kinda cool in it’s own odd little way. Today I checked back with Klout to see how I’m doing at winning the video game, and it says… drumroll… I am now a 60! Six weeks and an extra sun into my Klout experience. 43 days after entering as a 10. I am now a 60. A SIXTY!!! I feel so accomplished, though I’m not really sure it means I’ve actually accomplished anything. And I’m not at all sure what the hell I did yesterday to drive my score up 6.09 points… Nonetheless, here I am world. I have arrived. And now I can publish my book. ;))
LET THE LITERARY AGENTS CHARGE FORTH!
